Yo Mama Vs The Bang Bang FREE party this TOMORROW!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!

The Day is nearly upon us!

A sound clash of epic proportions It probably ain't, but a FUN, Musically Forward thinking shoobs it most certainly IS.

Yo Mama Vs The Bang Bang-The Mixtape Sessions is on saturday the 24th of July ie. tomorow!

Press Play right Huuuurrrrr!

Yo Mama have been a leading force in East London Party Scene for a few years now.

Located at 'broke Hipsters favourite spot', Catch on Kingsland rd, they started off playing Baltimore Club Music, Bailie Funk, and HipHop, but have graduated on to tumping some of the dirtiest party music from all over the place, they're currently big on Bashment, but who knows where there parties will take us in the future.

I've only ever been to a few of their nights as I always seem to be working, when they have something on, but their nights BEEF at the Macbeth have blown me away.

I remember the last event they had, we were onstage infront of 15, 000 screaming fans (I'm lying, it was about 200 hundred drunk people), skanking out to some of the golden oldies of west, and east coast Hip Hop.

Shit I havn't heard from years, and certainly stuff you don't normally hear outside of a hardcore HipHop crowd....I was shocked, delighted, and blown away all at once.

I hadn't felt that combination of emotions before since this Brazillian girl I was Fucking Stuck her finger up my arse, while giving me some seriously banging head!

I Find that East London Trendies tend to play the surface/obvious shit HipHop wise, neglecting the depth, ie, they play Biggie, and Ignore early Method Man, they play Snoop Dogg, but neglect the Dogg Pound.

I can't really blame these other nights. I'm not saying the DJ's themselves don't know the music, it's just that the crowd doesn't often know the music. And it's hard to get people dancing to some shit they haven't heard before.

Thats what I love about Yo Mama, It's a Dj's clubnight, every decent DJ I know, goes there regularly as a raver, they know they'll hear forward thinking, and deeply classic music, the shit they can't play mainstream.

They've also gone on to spawn a gang of different nights including the excellent Hipsters Don't Dance (taking up a new residency at CAMP at Old Street Station very soon) and Ain't It Black, which was one of the best regular parties in London!

Bambi, or CWD are also most DJ's favourite DJ's and are both comfortably able to batter most other guy's putting on nights in the UK right now.

Anyway!

Us being the beef loving The Bang Bang, and having a similar ethos and about 50 gazillion mutual friends, decided to bump heads with the Yo Mama team (#NoHomo) and put on this night of semi-friendly rivalry!

JDen and 7oel are ready to go INNNN on Bambi and J@Peg, Dj Sam who's just been added to the roster!

7OEL headlined at the last Yo Mama at Catch, and ripped it down, so I think this should be a relatively fair fight!

WE WILL STILL MERK YO MAMA THO.
